Marc van Heese

At ARC People I am ultimately responsible, together with co-partner Sander van Oosten, for providing audit, risk and compliance services to over 200 companies in the Netherlands, both (listed) profit and non-profit organizations. I have the subjects Commercial, Finance and IT in my portfolio. I am an experienced audit and risk manager and consultant with broad interests.

I have gained audit and risk expertise in the Financial and Social Security sector, as well as in Real Estate and Leasing. Furthermore, I have experience in leading teams and departments as Head of Internal Audit (CAE), I also conduct complex audits (operational, integrated, compliance and project audits) myself and lead Internal Control projects (ICS, Key Risks and Key Controls). In these roles I have gained extensive experience with Supervisory Boards, Audit Committees, supervisors and external auditors. I work pragmatically, seriously and hard, am sometimes a bit impatient and bring humor where possible. As an auditor, I see risks not only as threats, but also as opportunities for improvement. I see myself as a driven entrepreneur and therefore have extensive knowledge of almost all facets of business (finance, IT, commerce, HR) and am therefore actually always able to add value to an organization as an auditor and consultant.

I am registered as a Registered Operational auditor (RO), IT auditor (RE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and have completed the Commissioning Cycle at Nyenrode.

In my free time I enjoy going to watch my children's sports, am active for the soccer club, walk the dog and can frequently be found in the garden. I am also interested in architecture and read a lot about history. And I am always up for drinks and good food with family and friends.
